Thor approached his brother slowly “It is good to have you home.”

He didn’t know what to do with himself, he knew his brother was likely still angry with him and wanted space but all he wanted to do was pull him into a hug. He hated the distance between them now.

Thor sighed and looked at his brother, taking in his appearance.

“Since you fell from the Bifrost all I have wanted brother is your safe return I am only saddened that this feud between us has led to such damage on Midgard.” he hopped his friends were doing okay

Loki stared at him and laughed. “Midgard is a pathetic waste of a realm. You should not burden yourself with it.” he said as he got to his feet and started to pace around the room. He stretched a bit and examined his bruised and sore wrists that had been in shackles.

“Perhaps you do not see all the good, all the wonderful things Midgard has to offer.” he comments, slightly mad at Loki’s view of the realm he holds dear.

Loki stumbled out of the transporter with Thor, landing at Heimdall’s feet. He looked up, still muzzled, at him as he slowly moved to get up. He felt positively humiliated being defeated by simple Midgardians no less and now he no doubt had the Chatauri after his head. He looked at Thor, the…

Thor slowly made his way over to his brother -what had happened between them would never change how he felt. He knew the mask was painful, so he quietly began undoing the straps to remove it. He was a bit hesitant, for he knew words were his brothers greatest weapons.

Loki stretched his jaw and sighed a little. “Thank you kindly.” he said still with a slight bitter tone. He cracked his neck and stood in front of him. “I suppose you are going to escort me to the cells now?” he asked.

“Brother… I know not what is to happen to you, Father has said nothing…” Thor trailed off for a moment, watching the guards approach them. He tenses up and moves in front of his brother slightly.

Loki blinked as Thor moved in front of him. “I see you were incorrect.” he said softly to Thor.
The guards stood in front of them. “My Lord. The Allfaher has ordered he be put under house arrest in his chambers until such time he is to be sentenced.”

Thor nodded “I will take my brother to his chambers.” when the guards moved to assist him he said “Do you think me not capable of handling this?”

They quickly backed off and Thor led his brother in to the palace.

Loki walked with him, glancing at the various people shunning him as they passed. Once they got to his chambers he walked in and looked around. “I see they kept it the same..” he said holding out his wrists for Thor to remove his cuffs.

Thor removed the shackles carefully, noting the skin had been rubbed raw.

“I would not let them change it.” he said, giving his brother a small smile. He hoped there was a chance for Loki to change, to not hate him as he did now. All he wanted was his brother to be home and safe.

Loki winced slightly and rubbed his sore, reddened wrists.
“Good. Thank you.” he said as he went to his bed. He ran his hands over the soft furs and the fabric of his bedding. He sat down and soon laid back to simply rest his tired and beaten body.
